Thank you for your interest in the Annual Interim Management Survey conducted by Boyden interim management. We have been undertaking our annual surveys for a decade now, gathering and analysing data on the preceding year’s key metrics, emerging trends and demand patterns across our industry.

This survey considers the responses from over 700 Interim Managers, 76% of whom had worked as an Interim during the year and nearly 100 client companies, over 50% of whom had used an Interim Manager during 2009, making this one of the largest and most definitive surveys in the UK.
The response rate has been particularly good in what has been a very difficult year for many and we have some fascinating insights into how organisations have reacted to changing economic conditions and how this may have affected the traditional recruitment model as the following quotes from the survey suggest:
“Business cycles have shortened so much that permanent recruitment at the most senior levels cannot cope with the speed of change required and is therefore outmoded”
“2008/9 was a year of huge turmoil. Now maybe banks, chairmen and managing directors will be forced to admit that incumbent teams are unable to deliver the operational turnarounds required and Interim Managers with a track record of this will be increasingly sought to deliver a solution”
